Hi, I am Savannah Dunn

Based in Leesburg, VA, I am a photographer passionate about capturing special moments for my clients. Whether it is an engagement shoot, graduation photos, or any other milestone moment, I want to tell your story.

I am a 2025 graduate of Christopher Newport University with a degree in Communication Studies and will be continuing my education at William and Mary earning my MBA. Photography has been a joy of mine since 2015 when my grandmother (a retired photographer) gifted me with my first camera. Those skills I learned on my first camera brought me to the yearbook staff in high school, and eventually the newspaper staff in college. When my grandmother retired from photography in 2023, she gifted me her Nikon D5 along with all of her other equipment so I could continue to pursue my own passion of photography. My last semester at CNU I had the chance to take a film photography class where I learned a lot about black and white photography...this deepened my passion for the art. I love capturing stories through photography as I believe it truly connects people around the world.

Aside from photography, I have a typical 9 to 5 working as the Office Director for a defense contracting company. I am also an avid baker. I am the owner and operator of Sugar Coated by Savannah (@sugarcoatedbysavannah on Instagram) where I make decorative sugar cookies for any event (I am dipping into cakes now too and would be the perfect duel vendor for a wedding;)). I love to travel and have been to South Africa, Scotland, Italy, and Greece. At our shoot, feel free to ask me any questions about myself! I am an open book!
